Significantly upgraded with new implementation tools, enhanced sync technology, add-ons and features, Amodat Mobile Desktop 7.0 offers businesses comprehensive functionality and performance, and helps boost productivity throughout the enterprise. Amodat Mobile Desktop 7.0 also offers a wider package of solutions, including route planning, warehouse management and photo images, further streamlining and improving the capabilities of mobile workers in the field.

NEW TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT

Windows Mobile 5.0 Support
Amodat supports Microsoft's newly released operating system, Windows Mobile 5. The key improvements in the new operating system are:
  • All data is stored on a flash disk, which prevents data from being erased from the device after soft reset.
  • The device can be charged via the USB cable.
Landscape View Support
Since Microsoft released its Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition, devices support landscape mode as well as the standard portrait mode. Amodat Mobile Desktop™ 7.0 fully supports the landscape view. The landscape view is helpful where item descriptions are long, or when users should see more fields in the grid.

Route Planning
The new route planning system enables organizations to schedule routes for field personnel and generate activities on the user's device. With Amodat Route Planner, you can define recurring events, for example, an onsite visit to Customer X every other Sunday.

NEW FUNCTIONALITY

Schedule Activities/Service Calls on the device
Version 7.0 enables users to schedule service calls/activities for another person. For example, a service team manager in the field can receive three service calls, keep one of them and schedule two to other team technicians.

Last Sales Price
In version 7.0, a user can see a list of last sales prices as well as reference document (invoice), date of sale, quantity, discount and price. The data will help sales reps give accurate answers to customers in the field.

Photo Album - for Laptops and Tablet PCs
In many cases, sales reps have to show clients the products they are trying to sell. Carrying along printed catalogs is one way of doing it, but they can be heavy and cumbersome. Amodat provides an elegant solution to the problem with a photo album on your laptop or Tablet PC. As of version 7.0, sales reps can easily show high-quality, compelling images of their products to clients in the field.

NEW APPLICATION

Warehouse Application
SMB companies have to think about their stock levels but not every company wants to invest in an expensive warehouse management system. Amodat provides a solution we call "warehouse management for dummies", a simple and straight forward way to manage the warehouse.
The solution consists of four modules:
  • Goods Receipt - Goods receipt PO or A/P Invoice based on a purchase order
  • Show room - Create orders directly from your show room with a barcode-integrated PDA
  • Order Validation - Create a delivery note/invoice based on an order
  • Inventory count - Count your inventory using a barcode-integrated PDA
The Amodat warehouse solution is time and cost-saving while providing the key functionality needed to manage and control your product inventory.

TECHNOLOGY

Improved Synchronization
Amodat is committed to the highest level of technology and in version 7.0 we increased the speed of the initial synchronization. When the application is first installed and at each reinstallation, the user must sync the entire database to the device. This initial sync can take a while so we improved it to be the fastest we can.

IMPLEMENTATION TOOLS

Customization Wizard
Using the new Amodat Customization Wizard, Amodat business partners will be able to tailor the system in a matter of minutes after installing the Amodat software to fit clients' specific business processes. The customization is defined per company and per user. Using a simple tool, partners can define unique factors, for example, sales rep views of customers and color-coding for special prices.

Field Mapper
The new Amodat Field Mapper simplifies integration by enabling Amodat business partners to easily map any field in the back office database to the Amodat database. Even user-defined, Amodat "extra fields" can be mapped in a matter of minutes.
